Navigating this Journey into Consciousness

Navigating this Journey into Consciousness

The point of life is not to get anywhere – it is to notice that you are, and have always been, already there. There is no such thing as an incorrect path –
for on this journey you cannot “not get” where you are going.
~ Neale Donald Walsch

As I stated in my last blog titled, Choose to Meet People Where They Are, navigating these waters of life can be challenging at times. Some days everything is awesome and life is good. Other days, we may feel like we are treading water and barely staying afloat. This journey into consciousness reminds us that everyone is having their own human life experience.

Remember, your soul is already awake. It is your human-ness that is waking up and connecting to the knowing-ness of your soul. The waking up process is an on-going process of consciousness and awareness.

Strengthening your relationship with Spirit involves heightening your awareness and taking note of everyone and everything that comes into your awareness. Don’t be obsessive. Rather, begin to acknowledge what you experience through your senses as you focus your energy in the present moment. Pay attention to what you see, hear, feel and know. Doing so will become easier with practice.

Signs come in the form of animal messengers. They may be birds, insects, mammals or reptiles. I love referencing Ted Andrew’s animal speak pocket guide when an animal crosses my path literally or comes into my awareness through media or during the dream state. Also, number sequences on the clock or phone, license plates, receipts, etc. are signs. Songs or short lyrics that come into our mind or on the radio are also signs.

First, acknowledge that you see the sign (regardless of what it may be) and then express your gratitude for receiving it. You will gain clarity on the meaning in due time. Sometimes, the message is just the awareness of receiving a sign.

Be kind to yourself as well as to those around you. Everyone is experiencing life in their own way and has their own reality.

Choose to Meet People Where They Are

Choose to Meet People Where They Are

life1

Navigating these waters of life can be challenging at times. Some days everything is awesome and life is good. Other days, we may feel like we are treading water and barely staying afloat. This journey into consciousness reminds us that everyone is having their own human life experience. Subsequently, we are typically at different places on this journey. Metaphysically speaking, some people are just now “waking up,” and some have been “awake” for a while. New relationships, relationships ending, birth, death, and career transitions tend to be milestones that mark our journey.

Our guides continually remind us to meet people where they are rather than feeling everyone already knows what we want/need, that our way is the only way, and so on. I totally get that everyone experiences life in different ways, is immersed and sometimes enmeshed in their own reality, has their own perception, level of awareness, way of receiving information, among others.

I do my best to meet people where they are rather than expect people to all be the same. Whether I am interacting on a personal level with friends and family, reading for clients or teaching classes, I recognize the importance of meeting people where they are without making the assumption that “one size fits all.” To me, this is an aspect of empathy as well as humanity.

Lastly, ask for help when you need it whether it’s your friends, family members or your spiritual support network (angels, guides and loved ones on the Other Side). Don’t assume people assume, and do your best to not have expectations on relationships regardless of their type. Choose to live consciously with empathy!

What’s Fear Have to do With It?

What’s Fear Have to do With It?

fear3
I believe there are two vibrations that exist – the vibration of love and the vibration of fear, which encompasses every emotion that isn’t love. As humans, I believe we are supposed to experience contrast, and we are able to do just that by the awareness of these vibrations.

I posed a question on my Facebook page asking, “What is one thing you are ready to release and let go of?” and acknowledged that the full moon energy currently underway will assist us with clearing the old to make way for the new.

Individuals who chose to comment indicated fear is what they were ready to let go of. I asked them to go a bit deeper by inquiring “fear of what?” Responses were fear of failure, fear of losing everything, fear of doing the wrong thing and not doing the right thing, and so on.

Defining the fear helps us to become more aware of what we are fearful of. I believe this feeling of fear is much different than the “healthy fear” to recognize danger. Focusing on feeling empowered that every choice we make is the right choice for us in the moment helps us to move through those moments of fear.

Awareness of fear, while not residing in the fear vibration is essential to our journey into consciousness. There is no need to allow fear to consume our energy. However, recognizing fear’s vibration and choosing to experience its contrast is beneficial.

So, what does fear have to do with it? Everything or nothing. Rather than being fearful or fearless, just have the awareness of the vibration of fear, but don’t reside there.

Feel the Feels

Feel the Feels

sensitivityThis “being human” thing can be tough sometimes. Know that your sensitivity is a strength and not a weakness. Allow yourself the opportunity to feel what you are feeling in every moment. Society and cultural have encouraged us to be strong, put on a brave face, take one for the team, buck it up and so on. Well, that paradigm is extremely outdated and really hasn’t served us.

This journey into consciousness requires (yes, I know that it is a strong word to use) us to be all of who we are intended to be, and part of that involves feeling the emotions. Feeling the sadness. Feeling being overwhelmed. Feeling frustrated and angry. Feeling like you are ready to “lose your sh*t” at any moment. On the flip side, we experience the contrast. Life serves us opportunities to experience the feelings of joy, happiness, excitement, peace, pleasure, and satisfaction as well as numerous other emotions.

2017 is here to remind us that in each moment, we can begin again. We can surpass the challenges or we can let them take us down. It’s okay to feel vulnerable. It’s okay to reach out and ask for help. It’s okay for you to feel the feels.

Honor Your Well-Being During the Holiday Season

christmas2This time of year and the holiday season can be a very stressful time for a lot of people. This stress may involve shopping for gifts and the associated financial aspects as well as the interaction with family during get-togethers.

If you feel anxious and tend to dread the holiday season, take a moment to breathe in deeply and let go of the lower vibration emotions of fear, worry, doubt, regret, guilt, shame, anger, frustration, etc. and breathe in the higher vibration of love. Allow yourself to acknowledge those individuals and situations that are triggers for you as well as those people, places and things that push your buttons, so that you can clear those triggers from affecting you anymore.

Recognize that it is necessary for you to honor yourself and what YOU are feeling, especially during this holiday season. Consciously choose to acknowledge any emotions you are feeling and then release them. You are in control of your thoughts, words, actions, emotions and reactions. You choose how you wish to perceive an experience and how you wish to respond to it. Remember, each individual is having their own unique human life experience.

Balancing the aspects of mind, body, and spirit is an integral part of our overall well-being. One’s physical health, mental/emotional health and spiritual health should all be considered. It is important to cultivate the spirit, yet equally important to honor the mind and body.

Here are a few tips to energetically assist you in having a stress-free holiday season:
Tip #1 – Be Present
Focus your energy on being present and in the NOW at this very moment. Allow yourself to become fully aware and completely present right here, right now. Being present involves living in the moment rather than focusing on the future or dwelling in the past. Focus on living, be-ing and breathing in the moment.

Tip #2 – Breathe
Take a moment to breathe in deeply and exhale anyone and anything that no longer serves you. Be mindful of your inhalations and your exhalations. Two to three times a day for 2-3 minutes, take a moment to pause in order to clear your mind and open your heart. Visualize yourself breathing in emerald green healing energy and exhaling the pain, hurt, fear, frustration, worry and doubt. Release it and let it go.

Tip #3 – Ground Your Energy
Grounding your energy keeps you present and in the moment. It completes the energy circuit and anchors your energy to the earth below. Keeping firmly planted energetically helps prevent feelings of fuzziness or spacey-ness that can often disperse your personal energy.

Tip #4 – Center Your Energy
Centering your energy involves finding that calm spot deep inside yourself that is eternal being-ness. Take a few deep breaths and bring awareness inward to the central essence – that place that is peaceful and serene no matter what the external circumstance. Think of the phrase, “Calm, cool and collected” as you exhale and smile.

Tip #5 – Release and Receive
Release feeling obligated to reciprocate when someone gives you a gift. Allow yourself the ability to receive without giving. Honor yourself and what you are feeling, but there is no need to hold onto the feel bad or guilt energy. Simply receive and sincerely say, “Thank you!” If you are the giver, release the expectation that a gift will be reciprocated. Be mindful of the intention behind giving.

Tip #6 – Give the Gift of You
If you typically exchange gifts with a friend, family member or co-worker, you may be guided to do something different this year. Many individuals do purchase what they need when they need it, so you may choose to forgo giving a material gift and instead give the gift of you. Plan an excursion or get together and spend time with someone you love. You may also want to volunteer your time or donate to a favorite charity. Perhaps, you may bake a special treat or create a handmade gift. These thoughtful gifts as well as the gift of your presence is immeasurable and greatly appreciated.

Tip #7 – Express your Gratitude
Gratitude is an expression of thankfulness. The simple words, “thank you,” extend far beyond their utterance. They are an acknowledgement of appreciation. Acknowledging and expressing gratitude for all you are thankful for radiates this energy to the Universe and returns in more blessings.

Honoring yourself during this holiday season will create a ripple effect throughout your life. Rather than isolating yourself, consciously choose to honor yourself. Remember, your mental/emotional well-being is an essential aspect of your physical health.
