Happy Love Day! Are you loving you?

Happy Love Day! Are you loving you?

In his book, Whatever Arises, Love That, Matt Kahn refers to the new paradigm of spirituality as a love revolution that begins with you. You are a drop in the ocean of all. How you feel and what you do contributes to that metaphorical ocean of oneness.

Self-love is a choice. It is not the result of achieving this or getting that. Self-love is not a destination; it’s a practice. Self-love is the foundation on which we build a happy life. Without self-love, we have nowhere to put the love or abundance that comes to us.

Just be love…
Love is always here!

Not sure what it looks like to love yourself?
Self-love is…

1. Choosing ourselves and taking responsibility for all of our choices and experiences.

2. Establishing personal boundaries and knowing what is right for you, including saying “no” when you mean no rather than saying yes to appease others.

3. Saying what you mean to say and also communicating your needs and desires to yourself and to others.

4. Taking care of our physical health by giving our body the nurturing, rest, exercise, and comfort it needs to the best of our ability.

5. Honoring our emotions and mental health, while recognizing certain people, places or things may not be right for us or resonate with us.

6. Wearing clothes that make us feel good rather than keeping up with the current styles.

7. Taking time to do whatever we love, just to play, without worrying about wasting time.

8. Seeing ourselves as beautiful, unique and miraculous creations without feeling guilty, arrogant, or entitled to do so.

9. Not rehashing our self-perceived mistakes and instead choosing to see them as opportunities for learning and growth.

10. Spending some quality, connected time with ourselves, which may include pampering, instead of partaking in activities to just occupy our time.

11. Trusting the individualized path that our soul is on without comparing our journey to others and making a genuine effort to become a conscious co-creator of our destiny.

12. Listening to our heart/spirit and following what our gut/intuition says instead of living out of our brain and ego.

13. Knowing how we’re spending our emotional, mental, financial, and physical energy, and recognizing whether these activities bring back joy, connection, nurturing, rest, and creativity to our lives

Journey with Aliveness

Journey with Aliveness

Imagination makes it possible to experience a whole world inside the mind and creates possibilities. It offers the opportunity to look at any situation from a different point of view and then to mentally explore the past and the future. Through the power of imagination, we can transform our lives and is one of the keys to living an enhanced or different life. Whatever outcome we envision, we can achieve. Using this gift, we can release limiting thoughts and realize our divine potential.

Learn to use your imagination to raise your thinking to a higher level and to consciously create by choosing to replace any negative (lower vibrational) thoughts with positive (higher vibrational) ones through awareness and intention. Doubt and fear are the biggest obstacles to the manifestation process. Understanding how to use your imagination and putting this knowledge into practice, for your own and others’ benefit, will put you on the path to success, satisfaction and happiness.

Trust yourself. Create the kind of self that you will be happy to live with all your life. Make the most of yourself by fanning the tiny, inner sparks of possibility into flames of achievement. ~ Golda Meir

With so much heavy and chaotic energy surrounding us, it is essential to attain and maintain inner peace, not just for ourselves, but also for the collective consciousness. A heart-centered love-based intention reminds us to stay in a space of grace, especially when faced with challenges. In doing so, we are tapping into the well of Divine love. This love is accessible, unconditional and unfaltering. It transcends yet also embraces.

It is time for each one of us to wake up to our greatness so that we can truly live life fully. Have the courage to imagine this reality and choose to journey into consciousness with fullness and aliveness rather than simply existing.

Maintaining the Spark

Maintaining the Spark

Nobody is superior, nobody is inferior, but nobody is equal either.
People are simply unique, incomparable.
You are you, I am I.
I have to contribute my potential to life; you have to contribute your potential to life.
I have to discover my own being; you have to discover your own being. ~ Osho

Many individuals long to know their purpose. Who am I? Why I am here? What am I supposed to be doing? These questions are similar to keys that unlock the door to more! Asking these questions offers us the opportunity to connect to our Higher self – the knowingness of our soul.

Each one of us has the Divine spark within us. It is our right to be all that we are intended to be and so much more. Through awareness and conscious creation, we can each step forward into our own authentic expression as Divine beings on this planet. We can also choose to acknowledge our Oneness, while celebrating our uniqueness.

As we become more aware of our energetic emission as well as the importance of shining our Light bright, we offer others the comfort-ability to do so for themselves as well. As we change ourselves and our thought processes, we become empowered to stand in our power and to feel safe in expressing the truth of who we are. Shifting energy is truly a matter of changing how we view the situation, experience, person, place or thing!

Allow yourself the opportunity to embrace your aliveness and navigate the waters of your human life experience on this journey into consciousness. Even so, at times, our spark may need to be sparked. This inner fire does not go out completely, but it can feel like it at times. One conversation, one encounter, one moment can spark the spark, fan the flame, and relight the ember.

Honor yourself and feel your emotions as you recognize those individuals who rekindle your spirit.

In everyone’s life, at some time, our inner fire goes out.
It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being.
We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.
~ Albert Schweitzer

Connect to the Wisdom Within

Connect to the Wisdom Within

Our soul is already awake; it is our mind/human-ness that is remembering. Accessing our intuition and listening to the signals provided by our physical body will assist us with connecting to the knowingness of our soul – the wisdom within.

Paulo Coelho reminds us that “Intuition is really a sudden immersion of the soul into the universal current of life.” Aristotle defined wisdom as “intuitive reason combined with scientific knowledge.”

How do we access this wisdom within?
Through meditation. By quieting the mind, so the soul can speak.

At the heart of your being lies your answer. You know who you are and what you want. ~ Laozi

Take time each day to connect with YOU, your inner self, through meditation in the manner that resonates with you personally. The act of meditation takes many forms. It can be sitting quietly in reflection, listening to a guided meditation, going for a walk or spending time outdoors in nature. The intent of meditation is to just BE and listen to the guidance you are receiving. In doing so, you are accessing the wisdom within.

Quiet your mind and let your spirit speak. What knowledge does it wish to impart on you? Who are you? Why are you here having this human life experience? What lessons are you intended to learn during this incarnation? As you pose these questions and any others, listen to what is conveyed to you through thoughts, words, feelings and impressions. Allow yourself to embrace this clarity and greater knowing of who you really are as you connect to the wisdom within.

Maximizing Energy and Minimizing Effort on this Journey

Maximizing Energy and Minimizing Effort on this Journey

My mantra for 2017 has been maximize time and energy while minimizing effort and expenses. This can also be interpreted as work smarter, not harder. This message first came to me after my husband experienced a heart attack 12/2/16, and he recognized a short time later that it would be in his best interest to discontinue what he has done work-wise since graduating high school. I encouraged him to really feel into what he enjoyed and what he was capable of doing physically. Then, we assessed the changes that could be made to achieve it. I continue to remind him to maximize his time and energy (and also not to overdo it), while also minimizing his effort and the financial aspect associated with doing business.

I’ve offered this suggestion to my daughter as she prepares to graduate from college in less than a month and attain full-time employment. I gently conveyed this message to my son since he will be relocating to a new area and returning to college in the fall to begin his quest for his juris doctorate degree after graduating college 3 years ago with an industrial engineering degree.

I’ve applied this mantra to my own work. I’ve chosen to really assess what I do and how I do it. I’ve realized that when I consciously choose to invest my time and energy wisely in whatever it may be (people, places or things), including myself, the energetic investment tends to feel easy and the end result or outcome is often effortless.

What can you maximize and minimize in your own life?
