Simple Words Say So Much

Simple Words Say So Much

Sometimes, it’s the simplest of words that offers the most healing. As a recent mediumship session was concluding, I heard in my head to tell my client to rest easy, so I conveyed the words to him by saying, “I’m hearing to tell you to rest easy.” Although simple, these words were powerful and were exactly what he needed to hear to assist with healing and recognizing that life continues after life. His parents, who are in Spirit, were letting him know that they hear him speak these words to them daily. Understandably moved to emotions, I encouraged him to keep communicating and then listening to their responses through thoughts, feelings, impressions and words.

Another instance involves a text I received from someone whose number was not in my contact list. The message was very kind and compassionate. I was going through some stuff and felt like they were in the know. Receiving another text the next day inquiring if I was in pain and then expressing love for me, I quickly realized this message was meant for someone else. I kindly asked who I was corresponding with as their number wasn’t in my phone. The name wasn’t familiar, so I asked who they thought they were texting and then let them know who I was. The message was meant for the sender’s friend who was in the hospital with cancer. The sender expressed her gratitude for letting her know, so the message could get to the intended recipient, her friend. Regardless, I know the Universe once again provided the perfect message at the perfect time via the perfect messenger.

Kindness truly does matter, love is all there really is and each one of us is creating the ripple. Simple words can say so much! Keep sharing the love!

Journey with Clarity

Journey with Clarity

When I embarked on this path in 2010, I stated from the beginning that I am not a fortune teller and will not predict your future. In every moment with every choice we are making, our life is continuously changing. Simply put, I choose to empower you rather than dis-empower you!

True intuitive work is to empower and to be of service. ~ Sonia Choquette

Each one of us has the ability to consciously create the reality we desire. Since everything is energy, we must become aware of the energetic emission/radio transmission that we are sending out. This includes becoming aware of our thoughts, words and actions.  Making conscious and empowered choices is essential for our physical health and mental/emotional well-being.

A healer does not heal you. A healer is someone who holds space for you while you awaken your inner healer, so that you may heal yourself. ~ Maryam Hasnaa

Whether you are seeking intuitive guidance, physical healing, life coaching or hoping to connect with a loved one in Spirit, my intention is to assist with validation and clarity, but I also want to encourage you to tune in and connect to the YOU within because all of the answers we seek can be found within if we take the time to listen.

I invite you to join me on this journey into consciousness with optimism, hope and clarity, while feeling loved, valued, appreciated and empowered! ~ Shelly

The Gift of Non-Attachment

The Gift of Non-Attachment

At certain times, many of us may find ourselves having expectations and pre-conceived notions about a relationship, situation or experience. We may even become extremely attached to achieving a specific outcome or the end result. In doing so, we can then become consumed with frustration and disappointment when things didn’t go as planned and ultimately deprive ourselves of something even better.

I’ve learned over time and with much practice the gift of non-attachment to the outcome. Personally speaking, I recently traveled to Atlanta, GA to collaborate with my friend Jacqueline for a workshop and healing event. No one had registered in advance, yet we knew there was the possibility for walk-ins, and we still needed to be there at the designated time.

On the car ride to the event center that morning, we began discussing possibilities while still being very present and allowing. Turns out, no one showed up for the day long workshop. The private sessions I had scheduled for Sunday were able to be rescheduled to Saturday, so Sunday became available for exploration and play.

Synchronistically, the workshop we created to present is titled “Embracing the Magic Within” and focused on the power words of connection, communication and creation. Rather than present it that day, we were both intended to embody and embrace it for ourselves.

Consider this: Upon reflection, when thinking about your own experiences where you have been attached to the outcome, and it didn’t turn out the way you had planned or even hoped, how did you feel? Did you feel disappointed and frustrated? Were you able to move through that energy to embrace the gift that presented itself to you?

Remember, every experience and individual you encounter offers you opportunities for learning and growth. If you are guided to, choose to consciously practice non-attachment to the outcome whenever possible (and it’s always possible). Sometimes, it is necessary to step back from an experience, observe what is happening, allow it to happen and then let go of the outcome. Subsequently, the magic of the moment unfolds as you welcome the gift of non-attachment.

Calm within the Chaos

Calm within the Chaos

Everything we do is infused with the energy with which we do it.
If we’re frantic, life will be frantic. If we’re peaceful, life will be peaceful.

~ Marianne Williamson

Any time the energy around you feels a bit heavy or overwhelming, it is essential for you to remember that you have the power to shift the energy. You can allow what is happening around you to affect you or you can maintain the calm within the chaos and consciously choose how you wish to respond. Becoming aware of your own energetic emission is necessary, so that you can gauge what feels “off” to you.

I have mentioned before that I am aware of issues connected to Mercury Retrograde, but I don’t intentionally fuel them with fear or worry. During my time in Kansas City recently, my patience was really tested as I experienced numerous challenges. There were issues involving my email, website, communication and even my own energy. On four separate occasions, I actually had to have my hotel room key reprogrammed. Each time was a reminder to pause, breathe and do my best to stay in a space of grace.

To experience peace does not mean that your life is always blissful.
It means that you are capable of tapping into a blissful state of mind
amidst the normal chaos of a hectic life.
~ Jill Bolte Taylor

When there is perceived chaos surrounding you, come back to you by grounding and centering your energy. To ground your energy, visualize your legs as tree roots growing into the earth below and work with grounding crystals, such as hematite, jet, smoky quartz and black tourmaline. Staying hydrated assists with grounding as well.

Then, center your energy by visualizing white light at your core and see that light shifting to yellow, which is the color of the solar plexus chakra. Breathe in peace, love, calmness and serenity as you exhale the heavy, lower vibrational energy that may be affecting you. Remember, often times you cannot control what is happening around you, but you can attain the peace within and choose how you wish to respond.

Happy Love Day! Are you loving you?

Happy Love Day! Are you loving you?

In his book, Whatever Arises, Love That, Matt Kahn refers to the new paradigm of spirituality as a love revolution that begins with you. You are a drop in the ocean of all. How you feel and what you do contributes to that metaphorical ocean of oneness.

Self-love is a choice. It is not the result of achieving this or getting that. Self-love is not a destination; it’s a practice. Self-love is the foundation on which we build a happy life. Without self-love, we have nowhere to put the love or abundance that comes to us.

Just be love…
Love is always here!

Not sure what it looks like to love yourself?
Self-love is…

1. Choosing ourselves and taking responsibility for all of our choices and experiences.

2. Establishing personal boundaries and knowing what is right for you, including saying “no” when you mean no rather than saying yes to appease others.

3. Saying what you mean to say and also communicating your needs and desires to yourself and to others.

4. Taking care of our physical health by giving our body the nurturing, rest, exercise, and comfort it needs to the best of our ability.

5. Honoring our emotions and mental health, while recognizing certain people, places or things may not be right for us or resonate with us.

6. Wearing clothes that make us feel good rather than keeping up with the current styles.

7. Taking time to do whatever we love, just to play, without worrying about wasting time.

8. Seeing ourselves as beautiful, unique and miraculous creations without feeling guilty, arrogant, or entitled to do so.

9. Not rehashing our self-perceived mistakes and instead choosing to see them as opportunities for learning and growth.

10. Spending some quality, connected time with ourselves, which may include pampering, instead of partaking in activities to just occupy our time.

11. Trusting the individualized path that our soul is on without comparing our journey to others and making a genuine effort to become a conscious co-creator of our destiny.

12. Listening to our heart/spirit and following what our gut/intuition says instead of living out of our brain and ego.

13. Knowing how we’re spending our emotional, mental, financial, and physical energy, and recognizing whether these activities bring back joy, connection, nurturing, rest, and creativity to our lives
