Our soul is already awake; it is our mind/human-ness that is remembering. Accessing our intuition and listening to the signals provided by our physical body will assist us with connecting to the knowingness of our soul – the wisdom within.
Paulo Coelho reminds us that “Intuition is really a sudden immersion of the soul into the universal current of life.” Aristotle defined wisdom as “intuitive reason combined with scientific knowledge.”
How do we access this wisdom within?
Through meditation. By quieting the mind, so the soul can speak.
At the heart of your being lies your answer. You know who you are and what you want. ~ Laozi
Take time each day to connect with YOU, your inner self, through meditation in the manner that resonates with you personally. The act of meditation takes many forms. It can be sitting quietly in reflection, listening to a guided meditation, going for a walk or spending time outdoors in nature. The intent of meditation is to just BE and listen to the guidance you are receiving. In doing so, you are accessing the wisdom within.
Quiet your mind and let your spirit speak. What knowledge does it wish to impart on you? Who are you? Why are you here having this human life experience? What lessons are you intended to learn during this incarnation? As you pose these questions and any others, listen to what is conveyed to you through thoughts, words, feelings and impressions. Allow yourself to embrace this clarity and greater knowing of who you really are as you connect to the wisdom within.

This is a gentle reminder to do your best to focus on your own journey into consciousness rather than feeling that you have to keep up with the proverbial Jones, whether it be your friends, family members or even co-workers or colleagues. At times, you may feel like a kid in a metaphysical candy store with a plethora of options to choose from – classes to take, books to read, modalities to study, and so on. Choose to really feel into what resonates with you personally instead of what your friend or colleague is doing.
