Creating Reality with the Power of Conscious Words

Creating Reality with the Power of Conscious Words

Currently, our lives have been affected, and our reality has experienced adjustments on many levels. Many states have enacted stay-at-home and shelter-in-place orders as well as are encouraging social distancing as a means to combat our current global health concerns related to the coronavirus known as COVID-19.

Let’s do a well-being check-in. How is your physical health, mental/emotional health, spiritual health and energetic health at this moment in time? Are you taking care of you? Feeling overwhelmed and stressed? Or are you striving for balance, peace and calmness? Are you able to be present, flexible and adaptable?

What wordage have you been using to describe your stay-at-home experience? Some of the terms used are isolation, self-isolation, quarantine, self-quarantine, lock down and nightmare among others. To be clear, words are energy, and words have power. They have a vibration and a frequency. Remember, our energetic emission through our thoughts, words and actions are ways we create our reality.

Each one of us has the power of choice to choose words that resonate with us personally. However, I do encourage really feeling into the energy the word represents, including its definition. Is the word limiting, restrictive and lower vibration? Or is the word expansive, high vibration and conducive to positive creation? Specifically, does the word enable us to create the reality we seek?

We may feel a bit inconvenienced by this world health experience, but it has also provided ample opportunities for us to explore more. What are the blessings within this challenge for you? Are you able to focus on the positives rather than just the perceived negatives?

As humans, we are incarnated to learn and grow. We are experiencing this situation individually and collectively, which is why being conscious can benefit us tremendously. Subsequently, this experience has definitely provided us a plethora of expansion opportunities, including an opportunity to reconnect with ourselves, so that we can choose to live a life with passion, presence and purpose.

Exploring More Creatively

Exploring More Creatively

Let’s do a well-being check-in. How is your physical health, mental/emotional health, spiritual health and energetic health? Are you taking care of you? Feeling overwhelmed and stressed? Or are you striving for balance, peace and calmness? Are you accomplishing some previously neglected projects? Are you tapping into your creativity and creating?

Please continue to remember that you are human, and it is absolutely essential that you do your best to keep being present and honor the emotions as they arise.

In addition, devote time and energy to pursuing your passions. Brooks and I recently spent an entire day building Bluebird houses in the workshop. Years ago, we worked long hours preparing for art shows, so this was a nice opportunity to spend time in the workshop without feeling pressured to create and produce.

Brooks has also spent the last few months exploring more of his creativity. I encouraged him at Christmas to establish himself a painting studio in a room we seldom sit in. He hesitated at first, and I reminded him that it’s our home, and we can utilize the rooms in whatever way we choose. His view is looking out the bay window facing the East. Primarily a woodcarver, he is now exploring other artistic mediums including watercolor paintings. I even created him a website and encouraged him to join Instagram to share his creations with others.

As you feel led, encourage those around you to also pursue their passions. Our lives are meant to be lived rather than simply existing and going through the motions. Choose to explore more and be creative. Feel into what brings you joy and then do more of that.

Journey with Inspiration

Journey with Inspiration

Spirit (also can be referred to as our angels, guides, Consciousness, Source, God and the Universe) continually provides us with numerous messages to assist us on our journey into consciousness. Guidance and inspiration will flow to us and through us, so that we can assist others on their journey as well.

There is a universal, intelligent, life force that exists within everyone and everything.
It resides within each one of us as a deep wisdom, an inner knowing.
~ Shakti Gawain

According to Google dictionary, inspiration is “the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative; a sudden brilliant, creative, or timely idea.”

Rather than put my “thinking cap” on, I prefer to get in the flow and put my “inspiration cap” on. Taking action on what flows to us sends the message that we are serious when it comes to creating consciously.

Feeling immensely inspired, I labored on a project over Labor Day weekend 2019. After investing 50+ hours over the weekend, I went to place the order for the mini picture book I created and there was a glitch with their program. Twenty of the 44 pages I created had disappeared and were blank. I called the company first thing the next morning to learn that those pages would need to be recreated. Initially, I was upset that all of my time, energy and inspiration had seemingly gone to waste. Then, I had a vision of the monks creating a sand mandala only to be destroyed upon completion to convey the message of impermanence — that everything is changing and nothing is permanent.

This experience didn’t deter me at all. Early December, I received the message that it was time to move forward with a book. After writing it, I let it simmer for a bit because it felt ho-hum and not “good enough.” I realized I needed to practice the pause, embrace the magic within and get in the flow of inspiration.

Plus, I had to really shift some energy around my viewpoint of it not being good enough. As humans, I realize we periodically have those thoughts – Am I good enough? Is what I have to offer good enough? Is what I have to say good enough? Is what I have written good enough? Realistically, the impression of “good enough” is based on perception and comparison to another.

Put your own inspiration cap on and let the inspiration flow. See what comes to you and moves through you. Remember, it is up to you to take action.

*I should mention that my new book, Embracing the Magic Within, and accompanying Clarity Cards are forthcoming! Release date to be announced soon!

Journey with Creativity

Journey with Creativity

Growing up, we were often told, “Use your imagination.” When hearing those words, I immediately think of being creative – writing a story, painting a picture or creating some other piece of art, playing a game or so on.

I recently used my own creative talents by creating my daughter’s floral arrangements for her wedding. Caitlin’s vision was a vintage theme for her wedding, so she borrowed numerous coffee pots and tea pots from her grandmother Sylvia. Purchasing bulk flowers from Sam’s Club, we (Caitlin, my mom and myself) arranged all of the flowers, and we had an immense amount of fun while doing so.

We didn’t have a game plan; we simply opted to use our imagination and see what evolved. I was reminded of a talk I presented at Unity of Fayetteville on Beholding the Power of Imagination. Here is a short excerpt along with a couple of tips to increase your imagination for better creative thinking:

The ability to imagine enables us to experience a whole world inside our mind, and it is the ultimate creative power. A developed and strong imagination can strengthen your creative abilities and is a great tool for creating consciously to achieve our heart’s desires. What we imagine with faith and feelings comes into being. This involves incorporating aspects of creative visualization, positive thinking and affirmations. George Bernard Shaw suggests “Imagination is the beginning of creation. You imagine what you desire, you will what you imagine, and at last, you create what you will.”

One way to increase your imagination is to expand your interests. Creativity is fueled by passion. Expand your interests by shifting your focus to include other interests that you may be passionate about. Another way is to read more. Creativity and imagination are sparked by learning.

What are some ways you use your imagination and creative talents?
