For fifty years, Unity Church of Overland Park has been a vibrant spiritual community in the Kansas City area, welcoming people of all backgrounds and honoring the many paths to God. With a mission to transform lives and empower people to make a difference in the world, UCOP embodies values of love, inclusiveness, joy, abundance, and being Spirit-led.

The UCOP Spirit Fair is one of Unity Church of Overland Park’s ministries. This heart-centered fair is a space to explore, connect and discover spiritual tools, healing practices and inspired voices from our community.

The Fall UCOP Spirit Fair will be held on November 6-7, 2026 in the Fillmore KC Event Space at 10000 Marshall Drive in Lenexa, KS. Friday’s hours are 4-7 pm and Saturday’s hours are 10 am to 5 pm.

More than an event, the UCOP Spirit Fair is a soulful celebration of community and conscious living where you can explore metaphysical vendors, connect with gifted healers and readers, experience holistic services, attend transformative presentations and shop for conscious, unique goods and spiritual tools all in one place.

Whether you’re seeking guidance, holistic wellness, meaningful conversations or unique gifts, the Spirit Fair offers something for everyone. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience two days of wonder, wisdom and wellness. There is a $7 cash/$8 credit card admission with kids 10 and under free. Advance 2-day passes for $10 are available online until November 5.

As part of the Spirit Fair weekend, Intuitive Medium Shelly Wilson will be sharing Messages from Spirit on November 6 from 7-8:30 pm in The Fillmore KC Event Space – Studio.

This special evening offers those in attendance the opportunity to receive messages of guidance and love from angels, guides, and loved ones in Spirit. Whether or not you receive a personal message, you will be uplifted by the wisdom, compassion, and healing energy that flows through the experience. Each gathering with Shelly is unique, but the result is always the same—participants leave feeling renewed, inspired and supported. Shelly will use her psychic and mediumistic abilities, along with her healing gifts and teachings, to respond to questions and offer insightful messages.

The evening event is $25 and also includes admission to the Friday UCOP Spirit Fair. Tickets for this transformational experience can be purchased in advance or at the door. Journey with Inspiration

Spirit (also can be referred to as our angels, guides, Consciousness, Source, God and the Universe) continually provides us with numerous messages to assist us on our journey into consciousness. Guidance and inspiration will flow to us and through us, so that we can assist others on their journey as well.

There is a universal, intelligent, life force that exists within everyone and everything.
It resides within each one of us as a deep wisdom, an inner knowing. ~ Shakti Gawain

According to Google dictionary, inspiration is “the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative; a sudden brilliant, creative, or timely idea.”

Rather than put my “thinking cap” on, I prefer to get in the flow and put my “inspiration cap” on. Taking action on what flows to us sends the message that we are serious when it comes to creating consciously.

Feeling immensely inspired, I labored on a project over Labor Day weekend 2019. After investing 50+ hours over the weekend, I went to place the order for the mini picture book I created and there was a glitch with their program. Twenty of the 44 pages I created had disappeared and were blank. I called the company first thing the next morning to learn that those pages would need to be recreated. Initially, I was upset that all of my time, energy and inspiration had seemingly gone to waste. Then, I had a vision of the monks creating a sand mandala only to be destroyed upon completion to convey the message of impermanence — that everything is changing and nothing is permanent.

This experience didn’t deter me at all. Early December, I received the message that it was time to move forward with a book. After writing it, I let it simmer for a bit because it felt ho-hum and not “good enough.” I realized I needed to practice the pause, embrace the magic within and get in the flow of inspiration.

Plus, I had to really shift some energy around my viewpoint of it not being good enough. As humans, I realize we periodically have those thoughts – Am I good enough? Is what I have to offer good enough? Is what I have to say good enough? Is what I have written good enough? Realistically, the impression of “good enough” is based on perception and comparison to another.

Put your own inspiration cap on and let the inspiration flow. See what comes to you and moves through you. Remember, it is up to you to take action.
